We understand that every investment in roastery equipment is an important decision. To help you make an informed choice, we have collected answers to the most frequently asked questions. If you do not find the information you are looking for, please contact us.

What does it mean that the roaster has been refurbsihed?

Refurbished means that the roaster has been thoroughly inspected, cleaned and repaired by our experienced technicians. We replace any worn or damaged parts, sometimes even making new ones, ensuring that the roaster meets our rigorous quality standards and works like new. Each roaster undergoes a process of inspection and testing before it is shipped to the final customer.

What exactly does a roaster refurbishment involve?

The full refurbishing process includes:

  • Dismantling the roaster,
  • Cleaning the disassembled parts
  • Inspection of all of the components
  • Replacement/repair of worn or damaged parts
  • Installing new insulation
  • Installing new motors, gearmotors and bearings
  • Replacement or repair of the burner and combustion chamber
  • Calibration and adjustment for optimal performance
  • Painting – powder coating and heat-resistant paint where necessary
  • Reassembling the components
  • Construction of a new control cabinet with a control panel
  • Final testing and quality control

Do the offered machines have a warranty?

Yes, we give a one-year warranty on all machines refurbished by our company.

What about the availability of spare parts after the warranty period?

We only use parts from well renowned manufacturers, readily available worldwide. Depending on the type of part, you can purchase it from us or get its specification to purchase it yourself.

How long does it take to refurbish a roaster?

A standard refurbishing process takes about 3 months. Depending on the client’s requirements, this period may be shorter or longer.

Do you offer roaster installation and operation training?

Yes. We offer installation of the roaster and training in its operation. We also include an instruction manual with each roaster.

Is it possible to connect the roaster to external profiling programs?

Yes. All of the control panels we build can be connected to Artisan and Cropster for roast profiling and (optionally) automatic roasting.

What brands of roasters do you refurbish?

We are able to refrubish a roaster of almost any brand currently on the market. Roasters that have not been offered for many years, such as Gothot or Barth, are also no problem for us. We specialize in refurbishing of roasters from the German company Probat.

Can I come see the roaster before purchasing?

Yes. We invite you to visit our company. We will be happy to show you the renovation process and the available raosters. Please contact us to arrange a visit.

How do you ship the roasters?

If the customer is from Europe, we ship the machines by road. Shipments outside of Europe are packd in container as shipped by sea. In cases where time is of the essence, we can offer air freight. We carefully pack the roaster to prevent damage during transport. We work with reputable carriers to ensure safe and timely delivery. Shipping costs vary depending on location and size of the roaster.

I don’t need a major overhaul, I just want to change the controls. Can you do that for me?

Yes. Our electronics and automation specialists are able to design and implement control for any machine. It can be a completely new solution or a PLC controller added to an existing control system.

What additional equipment can you make for a coffee roastery?

Thanks to our many years of experience and a team of qualified specialists, we can build: chaff cyclones, pneumatic green coffee loaders, destoners, coffee coolers/mixers, afterburners, silos for green and roasted coffee, and coffee weighers.

Can you replace the burner in my roaster?

Yes. Please contact us to assess the possibility of replacing the burner.

My roaster is quite old. Can you install burner modulation on it?

Yes, but it depends on the burner installed. Send us a message with the make, model of your raoster and the type of gas you are using for verification.

Can you service my roaster?

Yes. We have experience in servicing roastersof various brands, including Probat, Giesen, Toper, Gothot, Barth, Diedrich. In the case of smaller roasters, it is possible to do this in our workshop.

Do you buy used roasters?

Yes, we do. We are always looking for used roasters to refurbish. Please contact us with details about your roaster and we will provide a quote.
